Mrs. Vorhees joined the staff at Newman in August 2018 as the Librarian and Media Center Specialist.  She attended Illinois State University majoring in Home Economics with a specialization in Housing and Environmental Design, earning her Bachelor of Science in 1993.  Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year Mrs. Vorhees added RTI Coordinator to her role.  She is a life-long resident of Sterling, a member of the Optimist Club of Sterling and is blessed to be serving the students and families of Newman Central Catholic in her roles as Librarian & Media Center Coordinator, RTI Coordinator, Website & Social Media Coordinator and Fresh/Soph Scholastic Bowl Coach.
