The National Honor Society recognizes outstanding high school students. It is more than just an honor roll as students must demonstrate excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. To be selected for membership into the Marion Chapter of the National Honor Society, students must be members of the junior or senior class and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. Candidates must complete a Student Activity Information Form and submit a letter of recommendation. All faculty will evaluate candidates on their leadership and character. The faculty council will make the final decision as to whether a student is awarded membership. Once selected, members must remain in good standing and meet all society obligations. Members who fail to do so may be disciplined or dismissed. View the NHS Bylaws.
