Bobbi Hannan

Department Head and Theology Teacher

Mrs. Hannan received her B.A. in Business Management from Western Illinois University worked for several years in business. When relocating to Sterling, she was a substitute teacher at St. Mary School, Sterling, while studing to become certified by the Diocese of Rockford to teach Theology. Mrs. Hannan joined the Newman faculty in 2001 and teaches Theology 2 and 4.  In addition, she is the Director of Spiritual Retreats and enjoys her role as “Mother of Kairos.”  As the Department Head of Theology, Mrs. Hannan is also chair of the Catholic Identity Committee. Mrs. Hannan and Mrs. Kelly serve as co-faculty advisors for prom. 

Mrs. Hannan is also active in her parish including representing the Sterling Deanery on Bishop Malloy’s Pastoral Council in Rockford. She also loves to guide those joining the Catholic Church by assisting with RCIA classes at Sacred Heart Parish.  She has been an Extraordinary Minister and Lector for many years and serves on Sacred Hart Church's Pastoral Council.
