Science is one of the basic foundations for a well balanced education and provides students with information and tools that will be useful their entire life whether or not they decide to pursue a science-based career.  NHS's Science Department is very capably chaired by Mrs. Verdick.  She doesn't just read from a textbook--this is a department chair who has made science and it's life applications integral to her life!  Science isn't boring-- it is LIFE!  Ms. Cook and Mr. Accardi share in that vision of science and make not only the subjects they teach interesting but show how useful science in everyday life.  Be sure to visit look at all the elective science courses offered at NHS--it is amazing...no excuses for boring here!
