The Newman Parent Association is a vital part of the Newman family. The purpose of this organization is to promote, encourage and foster the educational, religious social and charitable activities and purposes of Newman Central Catholic High School of Sterling, Illinois; including the sponsorship of fund-raising activities and organization of supporting activities in the furtherance of the school’s activities and purposes.
For the school year 2010-2011, Newman parents will be required to sell 15/$20.00 Home Sweet Home raffle tickets and to work one of the following fundraisers; Ladies Luncheon, Newman Spirit Shop, Newman Prayer Garden, Newman In-House Worker, NHS Presents…dinner/dance/auction or Newman Home Sweet Home Raffle. The buy-out amount of the fund-raiser commitment is $1500.00. Each family is also required to participate in the Comet Cash fund-raiser. Each family is requested to save $2/week or $72/year. Below is a brief description of each fund-raiser:
