...a little bit about me....

I hold a bachelor's degree in Education from Northwestern University, a master's degree in Education from the University of Illinois, and have spent the last three summers completing a master's degree  in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca, Spain. I love to talk about Spain-- just ask me some time!

I enjoy learning languages and being able to use them when I travel. I heard Spanish as a baby, learned French in high school, studied German in college and married a Russian major! Learning some Italian is next on my "bucket" list.

Before coming to Newman I taught Spanish at Sauk Valley Community College. I enjoy teaching high school students and hope that they will catch on to the great delight I find in being able to communicate in other languages. Whether you learn French or Spanish  you will expand your powers of thinking and find out new and interesting things all over the world!
