It was the lady. I would have the story end as it being the lady, so then he would have a new wife and wouldn't be ripped to pieces.
Setting- A semi-barbaric kingdom, with distant Latin neighbors, that takes place in a very olden time.
Conflict- Choosing the lady or the tiger.
Character- The king.
Climax- When she is about to choose which door, so where the story leaves off.
Point of View- Third person.
Imagery- When it talks about the girl being ripped to pieces.
Mood- Dark and scary.
Plot- What would be the outcome of the accused. A punishment or a reward?
Protagonist- The lady.
Speaker- An outter voice.
Devices used in story:
1. Setting- In the very olden time there lived a semi-barbaric king, whose ideas, though somewhat polished and sharpened by the progressiveness of distant Latin neighbors
2. Antagonist- were still large, florid, and untrammeled, as became the half of him which was barbaric.
3. Mood- dying gladiators, nor to enable them to view the inevitable conclusion of a conflict between religious opinions and hungry jaws, but for purposes far better adapted to widen and develop the mental energies of the people

Plot- If he opened the one, there came out of it a hungry tiger, the fiercest and most cruel that could be procured, which immediately sprang upon him and tore him to pieces as a punishment for his guilt. But, if the accused person opened the other door, there came forth from it a lady, the most suitable to his years and station that his majesty could select among his fair subjects, and to this lady he was immediately married, as a reward of his innocence.

The Lady or the Tiger?- I believe it was the tiger because at the end it says that the lady could somewhat see the man and she and the crowd were excited because they thought he had picked her door. but then it says that the joy had turned to a shreik of terror which implies that he had picked the tiger door.
I believe that it was the lady because she showed no hesitation and showed no fear. Her fate would've been kind to her due to her boldness and courage.

I think the princess had him pick the lady cause she couldnt bare to see her lover die right in front of her

-I would choose the lady. I picked the lady because all you have to do is be married to her for your life.I would rather do that the be eaten by a wild tiger and die a pain full death. The lady could be a hot girl and i wouldn't have to worry about anything so chances are she could be a babe.
Literary Devices:
1. Setting- The story takes place in a kings arena in a semi-barbaric land.
2. Character- A semi-barbaric king, his semi-barbaric daughter (princess), and a young man in love with the princess.
3. Conflict- The princess has to decide whether or not to kill the young man.

5. Symbolizism- The lady behind the door symbolizes freedom and the tiger symbolizes guilt.

The Lady or the Tiger?
I think the princess would have chosen the door that the lady is in because i feel like she is deeply in love with the young man and does not feel the need to get him killed for just simply being around her.

2. Plot- barbaric king discovers his daughter is having a love affair with guy. Secret lovers....
3. Setting- Most of the story takes place in the King's arena long, long ago.
4. Characterization- The king is barbaric and the princess' lover is handsome.
5. Conflict- Internal conflict takes place when the princess decides her lover's fate. She must decide if he is eaten alive or marries another lady, one who disrespected the princess by simply blushing.
6. Point of view- the story is from the narrarator's point of view
7. Climax- when the princess decides which door her lover chooses
8. Antagonist- The king for being barbaric
9. Protagonist- The lover because he's the only one who isn't barbaric.
10. Irony- Ironic that the princess love's her man but is choosing his fate.
The princess told the man to choose the door on the right. Behind the door was the lady because when you really love someone you want what's best for them and getting mauled by a tiger is not what's best for anyone. The princess showed some jealousy but i doubt she was so savage to watch a man be killed because of her.
I believe that it was the lady because it says that without any hesitation she picked the door right away, showing that she wasn't scared and thought that she wasn't going to die.

Plot: A women was accused and has to choose between two doors, which have a women behind one and a tiger behind the other.

The princess lied to the man because she was jealous of the the woman behind the door so she killed the man so only she could have him.

The Lady or the Tiger?
I think that the door the lover of the princess opened was the one that contained the lady. I think that the princess had to many feelings for the man to see him be attacked by a tiger and have his life end. I think that she cared so much she would rather see him live a happy life with someone else then to have it end tragically with the tiger.
Antagonist-the man about to open the door
Mood-the feeling of which door the people were feeling
Point-of-View-it is in 3 person point of view

Characterization-the description of the lady
Conflict-not knowing which door would have the lad and which one would have the tiger
Context-a very good description in the beginning of the story that portrayed a visual of what the area looked like.
Imagery-were the author describes the cages
Simile-there is a simile on the 2nd page 4 paragraph when the narrator describes the kings daughter
Setting-the author gives a very good detail of when the story happens, where, and what it's about.
Tragedy-the story has a rather bad ending, the author lets you decide who it is that comes out of the door.
2) The lady, because most stories end in the readers appeal and it would make a better story if the lady was behind the door and he lived. The tiger would end the story as a death most likley and would not make a good story. the author would want readers appeal and for us to read more of his work so therefore he will end it with what most of the readers would like to see happen.
